The story is told in the previous page of
locating the grave of Mr. Brister. It was marked by a sandstone rock in
1908, but there is no name on it. I have been waiting to get dates for the
birth and death. The work done by Gwen Brister lists the dates as -- born
February 14, 1837, died January 15, 1908. Those dates are almost certainly
right, but I have not seen the proof of those dates, although it may exist.
There is possibly a death certificate that would show that information. I
will try to verify the dates, but it looks like we are zeroing in on it. We
should be ready at that point to get a marker made.
