Grave site of William J. Brister, Streeter, Mason County, Texas.

The sandstone marks the grave.   Mrs. Emma Gene Jackson with the Cavness Cemetery Association points to the grave.

My grandmother, Ivia I. Brister Roberts, says in her "book" she only met him once, and that was the only one of her grandparents she ever met.

Lehman Roberts and Mrs. Doyle in 1987 - the grave is to Lehman's right.  The crape myrtle tree is now gone.  Mrs. Doyle told Mrs. Jackson while she lived that she knew Mr. Brister, and that she had attended his funeral as a child.  Mr. Brister always wore a black coat, she said.  She was interviewed by John & Gwen Brister.
